Rosary for freedom, life, family

The rosary is prayed for religious freedom, respect of life and family Saturdays at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. Fourth St., Duluth, at 10 a.m. Contact the Cathedral at (218) 728-3646 for information.

KC fellowship

The Knights of Columbus Council 6791 and St. Teresa Circle of St. Raphael’s Church, 5779 Seville Road, Duluth, sponsors coffee, juice, donuts and fellowship after Masses the first Saturday and Sunday weekend of each month.

Grand breakfast

Holy Angels Church, 60 Hartman Drive, Moose Lake, is having its grand breakfasts on Sundays, July 3 and Sept. 4, 8 a.m. to noon. Pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, egg bake, TJ’s sausage, whole ham, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, hot applesauce, strawberries, juice, milk and coffee. Handicapped accessible. Anointing of the sick

Anointing of the sick is available the first Sunday of the month at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 315 S.W. 21st St., Grand Rapids. All are welcome to receive this sacrament of healing at any time during an illness or struggle. Anointing is available any time by calling the church at (218) 326-2843. Also, healing prayer is offered the second Sunday of the month at 9:15 a.m. in the church. Handicapped accessible.

Mass on TV

The Diocese of Duluth sponsors a televised Mass at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C., on WDIODuluth and WIRT-Hibbing. Chaplet of Divine Mercy

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is prayed for religious freedom, respect for life and family, and freedom of conscience of all people of faith after the 12:05 p.m. Mass, Mondays, at St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel, 407 E. Fourth St., Duluth.

Communion and Liberation

Communion and Liberation is an international Catholic movement that helps participants have a daily experience of faith. The group meets Tuesdays in the social hall at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. Fourth St., Duluth, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., followed by sharing appetizers or desserts. Rosaries for life

Two rosaries are prayed Wednesdays at 8 a.m. at St. Charles Parish, 308 Central Ave., Cass Lake, for an end to abortion and all crimes against life. Everyone is invited. For more information call Mary Rients at (218) 444- 6209.

Adoration (Silver Bay)

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place Wednesdays at St. Mary’s Church, 57 Horn Blvd., Silver Bay, beginning after the 8:30 a.m. Mass and continues to 3 p.m. Call the parish office (218) 226-3100 for information.

Rosary

Mass in Onigum

Monthly Mass will be held Thursday, July 7, at St. John EpiscopalChurch, Onigum, with Father Francis Kabiru and parishioners from St. Agnes Church, Walker, attending. Mass will be celebrated on the first Thursday of the month. This is the parish’s attempt to be present and to reach out to those not having Sunday Masses in their village. Cancer support group

A cancer support group is held at Blessed Sacrament parish, 2310 Seventh Ave. E., Hibbing, the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. Call Mary at (218) 262-5541 for information. These meetings are for anyone whose life has been touched by cancer.

Adoration (Crosslake)

The first Thursday of the month 24- hour adoration is celebrated from 8:30 a.m., Thursday until 7:50 a.m., Friday, at Our Lady’s Chapel at Immaculate Heart Church, 35208 County Road, Crosslake. The Father Solanus Casey Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order meets the third Sunday of each month at 12:30 p.m. at Holy Family Church, 2430 W. Third St., Duluth (lower level). Duluth-Superior Young Adults

Living In Recovery Seminar

Living In Recovery Seminar is held the third Tuesday of the month from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at McCabe Renewal Center, 2125 Abbotsford Ave., Duluth. Newcomers are always welcome. This group works on ongoing life management issues such as spirituality, emotional recovery, forgiveness, relationships, healing and understanding recovery as a daily “way of life.” At least six months’ recovery from an addiction or a completed treatment process is preferred for attendance. Facilitator: Benedictine Sister Pauline M cke, spiritual director. Sister Pauline was a licensed counselor for nine years working with people with addiction and dual addictions and has a master’s degree in theology. Suggested freewill offering $5 per session. National Tekakwitha Conference

The National Tekakwitha Conference will be held July 20-24 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, Burlingame, California. This year’s theme is: “St. Kateri — The Bridge Between Our Faith and Our Traditions.” Dr. Mary Soha, one of the keynote speakers, is one of the doctors who reviewed the miracles attributed to St. Kateri Tekakwitha and is currently working for the cause for canonization for the Martyrs of La Florida. Dr. Soha was in the Diocese of Duluth in 2012 for a presentation on St. Kateri’s canonization. Breakfast fundraiser

The ladies of the St. Charles parish in Cass Lake host a freewill offering breakfast the third Sunday of the month after the 9 a.m. Mass. Proceeds go toward assisting the education expenses of seminarian Deacon Beau Braun. For more information call the parish office at (218) 335-2359.

Public square rosary

Our Lady of Fatima, Garrison, and Holy Family, Bulldog Lake, hold a Public Square Rosary the fourth Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. near the big walleye fish at the lookout on Mille Lacs Lake in Garrison (Highway 169). All are invited to join in prayer. The rosary is prayed for the intentions of our Blessed Mother, the conversion of sinners, and to reconcile ourselves, our families and our nation back to God. Healing Mass

The 25th annual evening of healing prayers and Mass will be held Monday, July 25, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, 2801 E. Fourth St., Duluth. Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sacrament of reconciliation available from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Celebration of Mass begins at 6 p.m. Individual prayers for healing follow the Mass. Diocese of Duluth priests and St. Cloud Fraternity of Priests will be on site. Handicapped accessible.

Blessed Nuno Mass

All lay Catholics are invited to join members of the Blessed Nuno Society at the Mass for priests, deacons and religious on Saturday, July 30, at 4 p.m. at St. Mary Star of the Sea, 325 E. Third St., Duluth. The Blessed Nuno Society offers masses during the year for various intentions. This is a regular Mass but the intention is for all priests, deacons and religious. There is no reception or anything to follow. Handicapped accessible.

Golf for God

Golf for God will be held Friday, Aug. 5, at Enger Golf Course in Duluth. Sponsored by Knights of Columbus Msgr. O’Shea Council, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary, Duluth. Registration and lunch at 11 a.m. Noon shot-gun start. Cost is $100 per golfer which includes: cart, green fees, a special gift, lunch, a prime rib dinner with all the fixings and, of course, adult beverages on the course and during dinner. Non-golfer prime rib dinner at 5 p.m., $25 each. This outing will support the Duluth Area Catholic School endowment. A full day of golfing, eating and games.
