40 Days for Life in the Diocese of Duluth
Those heartbroken about the recent release of the many shocking videos revealing Planned Parenthood’s practice of selling aborted baby body parts are invited to bring their prayerful presence during the fall 40 Days for Life campaign. From Sept. 23 to
Nov. 1, the 40 Days for Life campaign will witness in three
ways for an end to abortion: through keeping a peaceful vigil, through prayer and fasting and through community outreach.
Opportunities to participate in 40 Days for Life within the Diocese of Duluth:
People are needed to provide a visible, peaceful presence praying in front of the abortion clinic in Duluth every day during these 40 days. Those who have not participated before can let organizations know, and they will be paired with a veteran. Visit the website at www.40daysforlife.com/duluth or call Paulette Moreland at (218) 348-1345 for more information.
On Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m., all are invited to the 40 Days for Life Duluth opening event. There will be a praise, prayer and worship service in front of the Building for Women, 32 E. First St., Duluth, which houses the abortion clinic. All are also invited to the 6 p.m., Tuesday night Mass at the Women’s Care Center, 103 E. First St., Duluth. Light refreshments will be served after the Mass before the 7 p.m. opening event across the street.
A peaceful prayer witness is planned at Planned Parenthood in Grand Rapids each day it is open through the months of September and October. Planned Parenthood is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursdays. St. Joseph’s Church is joining with other churches from the area — this is an ecumenical effort in Grand Rapids. Contact the organizer of the witness, Catherine Mclynn, at (218) 326-1313 or email at email@example.com to sign up. People can also stop by and join the witness when Planned Parenthood is open. All are welcome to walk and pray anytime between 1 a.m. and 5 p.m. every Thursday in September and October.
For more information about Walker’s campaign and how to participate, visit www.40daysforlife.com/walker, email Kristen at firstname.lastname@example.org or stop in at the tent anytime. The vigil will be held outside the Cass County Courthouse, 300 Minnesota Ave. W., Walker.
