Women’s Care Center golf scramble

The Women’s Care Center in downtown Duluth is the number one Women’s Care Center in the nation for its return visits, which means clients want to keep coming back to learn how to be self-sufficient. They also have saved up to 106 babies from abortion. The Women’s Care Center is also a well-known agency in the area, and now get many referrals from St. Louis County (WIC, CPS, etc.) along with many other local agencies.

The Women’s Care Center will host a Golf Scramble “Fore” Life on Monday, July 24, at the Nemadji Golf Course, 5 Golf View Drive, Superior, Wis. Registration is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; open range prior to the event, courtesy of Nemadji Gold Course, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.; shotgun start 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.; cocktail hour and prizes awarded 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; dinner begins at 6 p.m. Teams of four, $80 per person, includes golf, cart, and prime rib dinner. Support helps pregnant women choose life for their babies, have healthy pregnancies, and become more nurturing and self-sufficient parents.

God’s Gift event Sept. 30 in Superior

The Diocese of Superior Respect Life Committee will host the 2017 God’s Gift: To Love Every Body event Saturday, Sept. 30. Doors open at 8 a.m. at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjacket Union. The keynote speaker, Gloria Purvis, co-host of Morning Glory EWTN Radio, starts promptly at 9 a.m., in the Great Hall. Next up is Nic Davidson with his dynamic presentation on Pope St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. Interested in meeting the presenters? Come at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, at Epic Restaurant, Superior, for a VIP meet-and-greet buffet dinner. Highlights of this God’s Gift event include vendors and booths. Early bird registration for Friday and Saturday or Saturday only, lunch, opportunities for adoration and confession, and Mass with Bishop James Powers. Together in Life raises funds

Together in Life, the pro-life ministry of Blessed Sacrament parish in Hibbing, held a Father’s Day caramel sale to raise funds for pro-life initiatives.
