Queen of Peace participates in DI Globals

In May, a group of seven students led by Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist Paul Mary and Karin Sabyan qualified and attended the Globals Tournament for the Destination Imagination program in Knoxville, Tenn. The team, “Within Waves of Weirdness,” placed 26th in the elementary section of the challenge, Making Waves. This landed the team in the top half of its division. The team was excited and proud to represent Minnesota at this worldwide event, as well as continuing the DI tradition at Queen of Peace Catholic School. Queen of Peace School staff and students give special thanks to the parishioners, family members, friends, alumni and sponsors who generously give to the school.

Queen of Peace gets new tech

Queen of Peace School in Cloquet is grateful for new technology that has been added to the media center and some of the classrooms. In the last two years, through very generous donations from alumni, parents and parishioners, the school has acquired 12 iMac computers for the media center, an interactive projector, four Mac laptops, two iPads, a data projector and an Apple TV. The staff will continue to learn how to integrate this technology into the daily curriculum. The computers in the media center have been used to access the web-based student assessment program.
