‘Feast of Faith’ education dinner
All are invited to attend the annual “Feast of Faith” banquet for Duluth Area Catholic Schools, hosted by Bishop Paul D. Sirba on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Greysolon Ballroom, 231 E. Superior St., in downtown Duluth. Foundation dinner Sept. 30
The St. Francis School Foundation Dinner will be held Friday, Sept. 30, at 5:30 p.m. at Arrowwood Lodge, 6967 Lake Forest Road in Baxter. The keynote speaker is Bishop Paul Sirba. The foundation’s mission is to provide a firm financial base for the school. Funds from dinners, silent auctions, donations and related efforts go toward a fund reserve. The goal is to reach $1 million in the trust. Interest earnings support teacher salary increases, school needs, capital needs and tuition scholarships for students. The school provides a Catholic education for students from several communities in the Brainerd Lakes area. For ticket and dinner information, call St. Francis of the Lakes School at (218) 829-2344.
Catholic schools still have openings in their classrooms for the 2016-17 school year. Contact your local Catholic school to learn more about registering your children.
