World Youth Day 2011
MADIRID, SPAIN

Theme: “Rooted and built up in Jesus Christ, firm in the faith.” Colossians 2:7

Dates: August 8-22, 2011

Purpose of a Pilgrimage: A pilgrimage is a spiritual journey one makes to discover who God is and what He means in our lives. It always has a purpose and a destination. This World Youth Day pilgrimage serves as a means of renewing the Holy Spirit in our lives, allowing us to be witnesses to the World, to discover and be witnesses to the world that Jesus is just as relevant today as He was 2000 years ago. This pilgrimage is evangelizing in nature and truly does call us to be witnesses to Him to the ends of the earth.

Who is Able to Go: Youth and young adults who will be 18 years of age or older by the date of travel. If you are younger than 18 and would still like to go, you must have a parent or legal guardian accompany you on this pilgrimage.

Cost: The cost for each pilgrim is estimated at $3700. This cost will include: round trip airfare, lodging, meals, and World Youth day fees.  This does not include passport fees and personal spending money.

Pilgrimage Gatherings: While our pilgrimage consists of many smaller parish groups we do travel together as one. Once we receive your registration and down payment you will receive a confirmation in the mail with more information and dates as we know them to mark on your calendar.

Chaplain:  Father Michael Schmitz will be the chaplain and spiritual director of this pilgrimage.
