Catholic rock fest returns

Built Upon a Rock Fest, the free outdoor Catholic rock concert, is back Sept. 14 for its third year on the grounds of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth, and there is one big difference between this year’s headliner and those of previous years — he’s a priest. Read more >>

ANNIVERSARY MASS AND DINNER: Couples celebrating marriage year milestones of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, or more are invited to the diocese’s 6th annual Anniversary Mass and Dinner on Sept. 28 with Bishop Paul Sirba. 5 p.m. Mass at the Cathedral of Our Lady with dinner to follow at Holy Rosary School. All are welcome to Mass; space for dinner is limited to the first 125 registered. Dinner is free for celebrating couples, and additional family members are $10 ($15 after Sept. 16).

SOPHIA INSTITUTE WORKSHOP: Catechists and catechetical leaders are invited to a diocesan workshop Saturday, Oct. 5, at St. Benedict Church in Duluth, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop will renew your calling to share the faith and provide supplemental resources to support your mission as a catechist. It includes catered breakfast and lunch and a chance for collaboration, prayer, and reflection. Free registration for Diocese of Duluth residents. Guests from other dioceses may register for $25 beginning Sept. 1. .
