Father Peter Muhich named bishop of Rapid City

Bishop-elect MuhichPope Francis has named the Rev. Peter M. Muhich, a priest of the Diocese of Duluth who currently serves as rector of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary and pastor of St. Mary Star of the Sea and Our Lady of Mercy in Duluth, to be the next bishop of the Diocese of Rapid City, South Dakota. The Diocese of Duluth has updated its protocols and plans for re-opening public celebration of Mass in light of a new Executive Order issued by Gov. Tim Walz.

CATECHETICAL INSTITUTE DAY (UPDATE): The Diocese of Duluth Catechetical Institute Day has been postponed until Fall 2020 due to low registrations, in the hopes that more people can take advantage of this opportunity.
