Human Life and Development Fund
The Human Life and Development Fund invites those institutions and agencies within the Diocese of Duluth who share our convictions about the dignity and sanctity of human life to apply for financial grants to aid them in their work. Preference and eligibility in awarding grants will be determined by the Human Life and Development Fund Committee. The Committee meets each fall and spring to evaluate grant applications and make recommendations to the corporate board. The following are just a few of the agencies that have received grants from the Fund:
Human Life and Development Fund General ApplicationThere are two grant cycles per year for the Human Life and Development Fund. Complete the online application and email completed Pastor Form and financial documents to [email protected] or mail to: Elizabeth Gjovik All application materials must be received by July 1 to be eligible for Cycle 1 or by January 1 to be eligible for Cycle 2.
Human Life and Development Fund - Parish Based Organization GrantsIn recent years the Human Life and Development Fund granting committee has been developing a new granting process for Parish Based Organizations to apply for a grant from the Human Life and Development Fund without having to go through the general application process. Since Parish Organizations sometimes need funding for a one-time event and receiving these funds on a timely basis, this new application process aims to make it easier. Brackin Portion of the HLDFWhat is the Brackin Portion? The Brackin Portion of the Human Life and Development Fund is for agencies and institutions that serve the poor, needy, sick or afflicted in the greater Grand Rapids area.
