The musicians of the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary will be hosting the first annual Festival of Lessons and Carols on Monday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. Due to the pandemic, this year’s event will be held virtually through the Cathedral’s lifestream at duluthcathedral.com. Through nine lessons in word and song, instrumentalists and a small choir will sing familiar carols and beautiful songs reflecting upon the Advent and Christmas seasons. All are invited to participate from the comfort of their own home.
A third order Carmelite community meets monthly at St. Joseph’s Church, 315 S.W. 21st St., Grand Rapids. Meetings are held the first Saturday of each month. St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 124 Fifth St. S.E., Cook, is offering the Traditional Latin Mass every first Saturday of the month. St. Mary’s will offer a first Saturday Mass in honor of our Blessed Mother in the extraordinary form at 9 a.m. Saturday. Everyone is welcome.
