Welcome to Let's Listen What is Let's Listen?The Diocese of Duluth has announced a new initiative called “Let’s Listen” to better understand the spiritual needs of the people of northeastern Minnesota and discern the next step in the church’s mission. Let’s Listen coincides with and cooperates with Synod 2021-2023: For a Synodal Church, an initiative of Pope Francis, but Bishop Felton has emphasized the local importance of the process. A series of small group sessions led by trained facilitators across the diocese will invite people to respond to two main questions: What is hurting or in need of healing in your... What is healthy or hopeful in your... Why is Let's Listen Necessary?“The Holy Spirit always calls us to discern our next step as missionaries of Christ,” explains Bishop Felton, “and this process will allow us to reflect on how the Spirit is speaking to us through the voices of our brothers and sisters.” To read more of Bishop Felton's remarks on Let's Listen, read his columns from The Northern Cross here and here. How Can I Get Involved?Let's Listen will begin with Kickoff Week, with sessions in each deanery of the diocese. All are invited to any and all of these inaugural Let's Listen events: Sunday, February 20th, 2022 Holy Spirit Catholic Church Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Wednesday, February 23, 2022 St. Francis Catholic Church Thursday, February 24, 2022 Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church Sunday, February 27, 2022 Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary Otherwise, look to parish bulletins, websites, newsletters, and announcements to find out about other in-person Let’s Listen sessions near you in the future.
